Dresden Chamber of Trades and Crafts recognizes Dresdner Kühlanlagenbau (DKA)

The Dresden Chamber of Trades and Crafts named Dresdner Kühlanlagenbau GmbH (DKA) an “Exemplary Vocational Training Provider” for 2023 on March 25. This is DKA’s second such award. The first was received back in 2011. The chamber presented the award in recognition of the high-quality vocational training provided by the company, which specializes in cooling, refrigeration and air conditioning technology and has been in business for more than 70 years.

High-quality training and superior commitment to all aspects of vocational training were the main factors in choosing the winner. Andreas Thuss, Managing Director of Dresdner Kühlanlagenbau GmbH, guarantees that all apprentices who perform well will be hired on at the business. DKA believes it is very important to have well-trained employees, as they are an important resource in securing the skilled workforce of the future and are crucial to the company’s success. “Every investment we make in training our people is an investment in the future,” Thuss says.

In addition to highly qualified vocational training, the chamber also pointed out the additional measures in place at DKA to support and cultivate staff. Special training weeks are offered, along with individual tutoring to help apprentices prepare for exams.

DKA is currently training over 100 next-generation workers at various locations across Germany, including mechatronics technicians for refrigeration and cooling technology, technical system planners, and people enrolled in management assistant tracks. Dual study and vocational training programs typically last three and a half years. The duties of budding mechatronics technicians for refrigeration and cooling technology include things like installing, maintaining, and repairing systems, equipment, and controls used in these fields.
