Services for cultural institutions according to ECHOCAST standards
The service team as host
ECHOCAST, founded in 2003 as part of an EU project, is a nonprofit network whose aim is to build on and safeguard the quality of guest services provided at museums, nature parks, and other cultural institutions in the German-speaking world.
Service employees who work at cultural institutions monitor exhibits, provide information, and guide visitors. They also serve as the face of the organization at cash registers, in exhibition spaces, and at shops.
Their tasks are varied and often very challenging, as they serve visitors of all ages from many different countries. To ensure outstanding guest services, our service teams receive training from certified ECHOCAST trainers to highlight their role as hosts.
Dussmann – we are an ECHOCAST license partner
Dussmann has been an ECHOCAST license partner since 2010. We have our own in-house trainers undergo training and certification, with the result that the team now encompasses three certified trainers and its own certified employees. The service staff is trained both at the company’s own training center and on site. Topics include communication, safety and security along with background information on the specific facility and its goals and processes.
This approach allows us to ensure that all employees are optimally prepared to work at your facility or institution, in line with recognized standards. And you can rest assured that your guests will feel welcome and receive professional service.
Building inspections by drone and their advantages
There is a wide range of applications for drones in building inspections – and that benefits you in a variety of ways. Overview of your benefits:
- Time savings
- Cost savings
- Enhanced occupational safety
- Easier access to data via the platform
- Standardized documentation enhances comparability
Where and how to use building inspections by drone
There are many reasons a building inspection might be necessary, such as:
- Taking stock of the current situation
- Surveys of area
- Assessment of the condition of building areas that are hard to access, such as facades
- Locating and gathering data on damage, such as storm damage on the roof
- Checking the functionality of the building, such as the energy efficiency of the building shell
Our drones can help you take high-resolution individual photos, videos, or heat images. The data can be georeferenced, and lidar scanning lets you measure and survey areas, angles, and distances right down to the millimeter. Beyond that, the data are stored centrally on a Web platform, where the information is available to everyone involved.
Following processing and analysis, data are supplemented by detailed reports in a standardized format, depending on the purpose for which the information will be used. This makes it possible to perform a before-and-after comparison. Beyond that, thermal sensors can be used to identify cracks, water leaks, heat development, cold spots, and other anomalies.
